I show you how to make a low country boil in a crockpot. This was delicious.
This is also known as Frogmore stew.
I got this recipe out of my Betty Crocker Slow Cooker Recipes magazine. They suggested having it with warm bread, so pair this with my easy yeast bread recipe that I uploaded a few days ago!
12 small red potatoes (1-1/4 lb)
10 c. water
1 can or bottle (12 oz) regular or nonalcoholic beer -- use chicken broth if you want to instead
4-5 T. seafood seasoning
2 stalks celery, cut into 4-inch pieces
1 onion, cut into quarters
2 lemons, cut in half
1 lb. cooked kielbasa sausage, cut in 1-inch slices
6 Green Giant Nibblers frozen corn on the cob, cut into 3 inch slices
2 lb. uncooked large shrimp in shells, thawed if frozen
Spray 7 quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place potatoes in slow cooker. Add water, beer, seafood seasoning, celery and onion. Squeeze lemons over mixture in slow cooker; add lemon halves to slow cooker.
Cover; cook on low heat setting 3 hours. Add sausage and corn. Cover; cook 2 hours longer.
Increase heat setting to high. Add shrimp to slow cooker; stir gently. Cover; cook 15 minutes or until shrimp are pink. Turn off slow cooker; let stand 15 minutes. Drain. Serve with warm bread or cocktail sauce.

If you want to do this on stove top, put about a gallon of water on the stove, add in your Old Bay seasoning, bring water to a boil. Add in potatoes and sausage, lower heat and simmer. Cook for 10 minutes. Add corn, lemon and onion. Cook for 5 minutes. Add in your shrimp. Cook for 5 min. Drain. Eat.

Tammy and I have been friends for many years and met here on YouTube! Since then we have met up in real life many times. You will LOVE her tutorials and learn how to decorate cupcakes better than most bakeries do. She lives in Canada, but I really wish she lived next door.
Lastly, smile! I like it when you smile :)
