Rear Delt Band Pull Apart - Strongman Training Library
If you’re doing a lot of bench presses or shoulder presses, you’ll want to balance out the shoulders with an exercise like this.
You can do double overhand or underhand (we’ll show you both)
Overhand: Start with tension on the band (no slack in the band throughout this exercise).
Pull back as far as you can, straight into your chest. Do not go up or down, band should be parallel with the floor.
Underhand: Similar technique, but with your palms facing up. This also hits the side delts. As with the other style, make sure you keep tension on the band the entire time to keep tension on your delts.
You can do 10-20 reps for 3-5 sets whenever you’re doing presses to balance out the shoulder girdle.
