Our final day in the Kruger National Park had arrived, and neither of us was ready to leave. But it was time to step out of the Kruger bubble and re-enter the real world. Determined to savour every minute and every kilometre, we set out on a drive along a long gravel road that traced the border between South Africa and Mozambique. The road was quiet and felt truly special. After arriving at Mopani, we enjoyed lunch and continued our journey to Letaba. From Letaba, as we made our way toward the Phalaborwa Gate, we spotted our final hyenas of the trip. Leaving Kruger behind, we embarked on the long journey back home, carrying with us memories of an extraordinary 23 days in the most amazing place on earth, the Kruger National Park.
