This is one of those moves that students are always excited to learn. Hanging upside down suspended only by wraps on the ankles is always a crowd pleaser, not to mention, it feels good on the spine! That being said, the ankles do need to adjust to this kind of pressure and its best to start slow. Make sure you don't get floppy feet. Keep your feet flexed and engaged the entire time you are in this position. Getting up and out requires core strength as well, so always (as with all aerial arts all of the time) have a spot standing by. You must make sure you actually have a lock or else you won't be held. You can practice the same motion with your hands first, (as if they are your feet) to feel the swooping motion and make sure the tail lands in the proper place.
