Birding in Hokkaido: some summer highlights from previous years.
In this video I show 4 summer specialties in north/east Hokkaido: Siberian Rubythroat, Lanceolated Warbler, Middendorff’s Warbler and Eastern Yellow Wagtail. I generally don’t see these down where I live (in Hakodate) but all 4 are relatively easy to find if you venture north and east. I also show photographs of several other species you can see in summer in north/east Hokkaido.
Photos and videos were mostly taken on trips we took from 2014 to 2019. Some videos have been upscaled and may look a bit ‘off’. Apologies.
