On 24th June Bulgarians celebrate Eniovden. It is believed that on the night before that day water has magic powers. Women collect “silent water” from three different springs. Early in the morning on 24th girls meet the sunrise, roll their bodies in the meadows to collect the dew for health, and pick herbs. On that day herbs have their greatest power.
That’s why we spent these “magic” days with Nadezhda Maksimova in the beautiful mountain village of Yavor to learn more about the power of plants and how to use them wisely.
