HOW Did I Legally Immigrate to the UK from the USA?

It's one of the most frequently asked questions I've gotten on this channel: HOW did I legally emigrate from the US to the UK?

You can understand why. For some people, they're unhappy with the state of their current country and want to leave. For many others, they're descended from the British Isles and feel the call to return to their ancestral homelands. Either way: it isn't easy to legally immigrate to the United Kingdom.

In my case, I immigrated via a Skilled Worker visa. There are other routes, though; my wife is a British citizen, so that's another route I could have opted for. I'm not an immigration specialist, nor should any of my anecdotes be taken as legal advice; I'm simply sharing my personal story since SO many people, especially Americans, have been asking about this specific question.
