The Scottish Highlands are a vast area with wide disparities in pricing. In my case, my absolute limit was £360,000. How far that went was entirely up to me: what towns/regions I wanted to be in, what size of house, and so on. In Q1 2025 I managed to get a four-bedroom/two-bathroom house on acreage in southeastern Sutherland. This house was featured on Escape To The Country, Season 25 Episode 1, as the "mystery house".
