Join Dr. Lisa Brin, author of Climbing Injuries Solved for a deep dive into doing your own deep tissue work.Hi, I'm Lisa, a climbing specific injury coach. I teach climbers, parents and coaches skills to avoid injury, train better and heal faster with hand therapy principles, online coaching and rehab seminars. Listen along and follow along with your tools to upgrade your voodoo flossing and self-"rolfing" to ensure you are making a supreme difference in your tissue structure.

This video involves a tennis ball and some rubber banding. We are using motion to mobilize tissue. That is it! You don't need to buy fancy brand names to get the job done. You can use an old piece of thera-band to hold the ball on OR you can even lean on a wall while you add motion in to move the tissue under the fascia to separate any scar tissue and to break up contracture that forms from use, abuse or inflammation. Our focus TODAY is between the SKIN and the tissue below it to help it to glide better. A great quick application makes all the difference. You don't need to spend 5 minutes doing this. An application of 15 seconds or less can have a PROFOUND response. Pretty cool huh?! It's BRAIN training, scar tissue reduction and motion re-establishment that the big guys get at the highest levels in olympic style physiotherapy. All you need is some banding and ball(s). ;-)
