The Hemi Hurricane Willys Gasser is a historic drag car from the Southeast. It raced for only a few years, and was retired after its owner, Bunky Bobo decided to build a Barracuda Funny Car. Despite its short career, this car went through several changes, including having the original (extremely rare) A990 Hemi swapped for a more aggressive nitro-burning Hemi in 1967. Luckily, the car survived the abuse and was stored in Bunky's barn for about 35 years before his son Tony encouraged him to get it out and rebuild it. What you see here is the product of an extensive restoration to bring this gasser back to its 1966 configuration.
