We are celebrating today the Epiphany of the Lord. The new-born King lying in a manger welcomed the Magi who having seen His star as its rising set out in order to pay Him homage. This is a beautiful and moving encounter, brothers and sisters, because the magi represent the world or the Gentiles. The presented the Child with Gold in celebration of His Kingship, Frankincense in honor of His divinity and myrrh in anticipation of His saving death.
Celebrating this Epiphany of the Lord reminds us that He meets us in our search for meaning. He welcomes all of us as His brothers and sisters.
