We do a kriya to strengthen the central nervous system. Some of the benefits to having a strong nervous system are that you can manage stress and be less anxious in tense situations.
With a strong nervous system, we have the ability to withstand whatever comes our way. We can experience and process painful events faster, as we can allow the experience without avoiding it. We can also experience more depth in meditation and can meditate for hours without pain distracting us. When the nervous system develops the capacity to hold pain, then you can heal. You want to create the capacity to hold pain, then the system can bring awareness to it and release it.
You will also see a guest appearance by our dog Kirk, who tries to steal the spotlight about 14 minutes into the video. :)
We also do a breathing practice for balance and a meditation to foster an attitude of gratitude.
