It was July 4th weekend — everyone was off, relaxing, and my phone rings with what I call a holiday weekend fire drill.
A financial advisor in my community called needing help with a $5.5 million non-contingent deal that was falling apart. The borrower had major assets but no verifiable income because he’d just sold his company. Every big bank had said “no.”
