GETTING STARTED
• Open the file NP_PPT19_4a_FirstLastName_1.pptx, available for download from the SAM website.
• Save the file as NP_PPT19_4a_FirstLastName_2.pptx by changing the “1” to a “2”.
o If you do not see the .pptx file extension in the Save As dialog box, do not type it. The program will add the file extension for you automatically.
• To complete this SAM Project, you will also need to download and save the following data files from the SAM website onto your computer:
o Support_PPT19_4a_Quiz.docx
• With the file NP_PPT19_4a_FirstLastName_2.pptx still open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.
o If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy from the SAM website.
PROJECT STEPS
1. In your role as operations liaison for Renfrew Financial Services, you develop a presentation to explain risk management procedures to new staff. Begin by modifying the Depth theme to the presentation as follows:
a. Customize the color of Text/Background - Light 1 (currently white) by changing the color to Light Turquoise, Text 2, Lighter 80%. [Mac Hint – In the Colors Window, choose RGB Sliders and enter the Hex Color # E9F7F9.]
b. Save the custom theme color as Renfrew
2. On the title slide, modify the background style of the slide as follows:
a. Change the fill to Solid fill.
b. Change the color to Aqua, Accent 1, Darker 50%.
3. On Slide 2 ("What Is Risk?"), hide the background graphics.
4. With Slide 2 ("What Is Risk?") still displaying, change the transparency of the picture in the slide background to 25%.
5. On Slide 3 ("What Is Risk Management?"), remove the action button settings applied to the picture of the man with the umbrella.
6. On Slide 4 ("Risk Management Components"), add a hyperlink action setting to the SmartArt diagram that goes to the Next Slide in the presentation.
7. On Slide 5 ("Two Dimensions of Risk"), animate the green and red arrows as follows:
a. Change the direction of the animation applied to the green arrow so that the arrow enters the slide from the top right.
b. Animate the red arrow using the Curvy Right preset motion path.
c. Add a trigger to the red arrow so that the animation occurs when Title 1 is clicked.
