In today’s vlog, I’m sharing a little glimpse into my life here in Istanbul. Join me as I cook a delicious desi lunch… homemade Chicken Karahi and fresh Naan. After that, I head out for a little shopping trip to pick up a few essentials and enjoy the vibe of the city.
This video is all about simple joys, cozy cooking, and everyday life in Turkey as a Pakistani living abroad. I hope you enjoy spending this day with me!

Soft Naan Recipe (with Yeast) – 2 Cups Flour:
Ingredients:
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp instant dry yeast
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 tbsp yogurt
• 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
• 3/4 cup warm water (adjust as needed)
Optional: melted butter, garlic, or coriander for topping
Instructions:
1. Activate yeast (if needed): Mix warm water, sugar & yeast. Let it foam (5–10 mins).
2. Make dough: Combine flour, salt, yogurt, oil & yeast mix. Knead into a soft dough.
3. Rest: Cover & let rise for 1–1.5 hrs, until doubled.
4. Shape: Punch down & divide into 4–5 balls. Roll into oval shapes.
5. Cook: Heat tawa/skillet, cook naan until bubbles appear, flip, and toast.
6. Serve: Brush with butter or garlic butter. Enjoy warm!
Chicken Karahi Recipe
Ingredients:
• 500g chicken (bone-in or boneless)
• 2 medium onions (chopped)
• 3–4 whole tomatoes
• 4–5 green chilies
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• Salt to taste
• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
• 1 tsp red chili powder
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 3 tbsp yogurt
• 2–3 tbsp oil
• 1 tsp kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
• Extra green chilies for garnish (optional)
1. Heat oil and sauté chopped onions until soft.
2. Add cumin seeds, then chicken. Cook until the color changes.
3. Add whole tomatoes, green chilies, and salt. Cover and cook until tomatoes soften—then remove the peels.
4. Add turmeric, red chili powder, and black pepper. Cook until spices blend well.
5. Stir in yogurt. Cook until oil separates.
6. Add kasoori methi and more green chilies for aroma.
