The Sastra states that the Lord and the devotees of the Lord are not from this world. Though they appear in front of our eyes, they actually live in the spiritual world always. How that happened, to know that we have to become pure devotees of the Lord.
This video explains one such event that occurred in Bhubaneswar when Lord Jagannath wanted His pure devotees Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami Maharaj to entertain Him with a festival called The Chandan Yatra.
The Lord always demands service from His pure devotees and the devotee merges in ecstacy of love by rendering that service.
This reciprocation is beautifully explained herein in the dealings of The Lord of the Universe with Gour Govinda Swami Srila Gurudev.
