In today’s London vlog, I explored the Arab side of London and the Muslim side of London, showing viewers a completely different perspective of the city that many tourists never see. We started the day on Oxford Street, one of the busiest shopping streets in all of London. With over half a million visitors every single day, Oxford Street is one of Europe’s most diverse streets, filled with international travellers, Muslims from all over the world, Arab tourists, and locals doing their daily shopping. It’s also one of the few places in London where you’ll find dawah tables sharing Islamic information, giving free Qurans, and sometimes playing Quran recitation during the day.

As we walked, I met a man dressed fully in orange with a table of religious books, including the Quran. We had a respectful conversation about his beliefs, and I asked him why he had a Quran on the table. Moments like this show how diverse London is, and how open the city can be with discussions about faith. I also showed how Oxford Street surprisingly has many halal food options, making it a great place for Muslims visiting London.

I mentioned that even as a Muslim, December is the best month to visit London. The city feels alive with lights, decorations, and the energy around Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. The vibe is amazing, and London becomes one of the most beautiful cities in Europe during winter.

Next in the vlog, we headed to Edgware Road, the true heart of the Arab community in London. Edgware Road is famous across the world for its Arab culture, Middle Eastern restaurants, halal food, Arabic cafés, and shisha lounges. The Arabic signs, Arabic music, and Arabic-speaking community make it feel like a slice of the Middle East inside London. My wife is Moroccan, and she instantly felt at home — it reminded her of the streets back in Morocco.

As we explored Edgware Road, we discovered a halal food court offering everything from burgers to wraps to Chinese food. But the highlight for us was a Moroccan stall inside called Cast Street, serving authentic Moroccan dishes. From traditional tagine, to street sandwiches, to Moroccan tea, everything felt like real North African home cooking. The owner spent time talking with us, sharing her story and her passion for the business. After eating an incredible chicken tagine and enjoying our hot Moroccan tea, she even gifted us traditional Moroccan glasses — a beautiful act of kindness that reflects the hospitality of Islam and the warmth of the Muslim community in London.

We then continued the London vlog by visiting a local halal shop before heading to the famous London Central Mosque next to Regent’s Park. Built in 1977, this mosque is one of the most important Islamic centres in the UK, known for its large golden dome, stunning architecture, and peaceful prayer hall that welcomes Muslims from all countries. Inside, there is also a fully curated Islamic exhibition downstairs that covers the basics of Islam, the history of Muslims in Britain, and answers common questions people have about the religion. I was honestly blown away by the quality and detail — it’s one of the best Islamic exhibitions in London, and I highly recommend every Muslim or anyone curious about Islam to visit.

Finally, we ended the day at Winter Wonderland, showing how many Arabs, Muslims, and families visit the event every year. There are halal food stalls, safe family-friendly activities, rides, and a strong sense of community. Despite what people say online, London is a very safe city, especially in Muslim-friendly areas filled with culture, halal options, and diverse communities.
