Siteworks Infield Design Creating a Design off new curb

In this video, we will demonstrate how to import CAD data from an AutoCAD file into Trimble Siteworks and create a new design off new curb. This is a handy way to take an existing site plan and use it to create a new design in Siteworks.

To import CAD data into Trimble Siteworks, you will need a CAD file in .dwg or .dxf format. You can also import a LandXML file. Once you have your CAD file, follow these steps to import it into Siteworks:

1. Open Trimble Siteworks and create a new project.
2. Click on the "Import" button and select the "CAD File" option.
3. Browse to the CAD file you want to import and select it.
4. Click on the "Open" button.

Once the CAD file has been imported, Siteworks will display it in the map view. You can then use the Siteworks tools to create a new design off the curb.

To create a new design off the curb, follow these steps:

1. Select the "Points" tool from the toolbar.
2. Click on the curb to add points to the design.
3. Once you have added all of the points, select the "Design" tool from the toolbar.
4. Click on the "Create Design" button.
5. Select the "Curb" option and enter the curb height.
6. Click on the "Create" button.

Siteworks will then create a new design off the curb. You can then use the Siteworks tools to edit the design as needed.

Make sure that the curb is properly surveyed and marked in the field.
