In this video, I’ll show you how I make Oxtail Bulalo — a simple, soul-warming version perfect for family dinners abroad. It’s easy to prepare, incredibly satisfying, and filled with the warmth of Filipino cooking traditions.
Ingredients
2 lbs oxtail, cut into serving pieces
12 cups water
1 large onion, quartered
2–3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp fish sauce (patis)
1 tbsp whole black peppercorns
2-3 sweet corn cobs, cut into 2–3 pieces each
2 medium potatoes, peeled and halved
1 small cabbage, quartered
1 bunch pechay (bok choy), ends trimmed
2 tbsp salt (adjust to taste)
Optional: 1 beef bouillon cube (for extra richness)
