On October 3rd 2009, The Steam Railroad Institute in Owosso, MI., in cooperation with the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society ran a double headed excursion from Alma to Cadillac, MI. and return, using Nickel Plate #765 and Pere Marquette #1225. NKP #765 would lead the excursion north, with PM #1225 leading on the return trip.
We follow the train north, catching it at several location along the way. Than watch has the engines are turned on the wye in Cadillac for the return trip. Afterwards, following the train back south.
