Before final reassembly, dry-fit all components to make sure all pieces are aligned and clearances allow tight fit.
Use 3M 847 gasket adhesive on clean, dry surfaces to re-seal the lower unit gearcase after maintenance. Be sure to align guide pins in the gearcase housing with the small alignment holes in the prop shaft bearings/bushings.
