On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 11:43 a.m., A California Highway Patrol unit rolled up on a
4-vehicle traffic collision at Alessandro Boulevard and Mission Grove Parkway in Riverside.
The CHP Officer notified the city of Riverside Emergency Dispatch Center to send a City of
Riverside traffic collision response. According to CHP, there were several children in the
vehicles. Riverside Fire Department and Riverside Police Department quickly responded.
The first Riverside Fire Department unit arrived and found 4 vehicles with major to moderate
damage and one person trapped in one of the vehicles. A Multi -Casualty Incident was
established due to the number of patients and an extrication response was summoned
with 3 additional AMR units for a total of 4. The adult patient was extricated and transported
to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two other adult patients were
transported with non-life-threatening injuries. At least 3 children were also transported to
a local area hospital as a precaution. Alessandro Blvd from Northrop Drive to Mission Grove
was closed for the investigation.
