This video is preparation to learn Bebop and it explains Major seventh chord. Also it shows practice of chromatic approach notes from below.
Both C6 and C major 7 imply the same possibility of improvisation.
It is good to practice all 12 keys of the major 7 chords as arpeggios.
You should practice all what I explain without looking at charts. You should establish the system that the sound you hear in your head controls all of your fingerings.
