In this video I meet up with an old mate for a catch up and a wild camp. After parking in Grasmere we head up to Rydal Caves the temps are rising and the caves are refreshingly cool. We then head up to a very busy Loughrigg Fell, we don’t hang around for long and head down and make our way over to Silver How. Temps are still rising and it’s getting ridiculously hot for the time of year. Both of us are out of water and we struggle to find clean drinkable water, eventually we get lucky but have to descend slightly. We soon reach a very windy Silver How summit which again is very busy. Our home for the night is now in view and we make our way over to Lang How summit. What a great place this is a perfect fell with great views all around. Darren pitches his new Hilleberg Anaris tent for the first time and it’s stunning, typical Hilleberg quality. The night is windy and plenty of rain which keeps me awake, morning soon comes and after a quick coffee we get packed up and head back down into Grasmere. Mix of hot / windy / rainy weather, but great banter and catch up with Darren.
