When she was a child, Leah’s mother Charlene was diagnosed with breast cancer. As she was so young, Leah and her three younger siblings struggled to express their emotions through words – but they found great relief in music and art through their therapist Clare
Leah recalls the care, support and love that her mother received while she was a patient in the palliative care program, saying that “the nurses and staff supported not only the patient but the family as well. It was amazing.”
Leah and Clare's story play a vital role in 'Live the life you please,' a feature film that will release on May 22nd, 2023.
