Spend some quiet, heartwarming time with baby gorilla Kunda and her devoted mother, Kebi, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo! 🦍❤️ Born on July 19, 2023, Kunda is thriving at just over 5 weeks old. This video, filmed on August 27, 2023, features no music—only the pure, natural moments between mother and daughter.

Kebi receives extra food each day while staff conduct visual health checks to make sure Kunda is developing well. Kunda remains close to her mother, nursing naturally and bonding beautifully.

The gorilla troop continues to embrace the newest addition to their family with love and calmness. Watching these early interactions gives a powerful glimpse into the lives of western lowland gorillas.

Kayembe was the first "zoo born" gorilla born at the Cleveland Zoo in it's 141-year history.
Now the zoo has a second "zoo born" baby gorilla.

Birthdates: Mokolo 7/10/87, Fredrika 6/5/74, Nneka 9/23/98, Kebi 1/13/91/ Tusa 12/2/89, Kayembe 10/26/21 and unnamed baby girl 7/19/23.

The Conservation status of the Western Lowland gorilla is “Critically Endangered”.
