This video is about:
This gentle sequence is like a little hug for the dark and cold season – a nourishing ritual you can enjoy completely without ever calling it “yoga”. It’s simply supported movements and mindful breathing that help you reconnect with your body, and stay mobile and in a good mood even when it’s grey and chilly outside.
You can do the entire practice in your bed in the morning, in the living room during the day, on the sofa in the evening (perfect if you want to ease gently into the day or wind down at night). Everything is slow, mindful and joint-friendly, so truly anyone can join in.
We begin in a restful child’s pose, move through soothing side stretches, gentle neck releases, seated forward folds with optional foot massage, flowing arm circles, easy hip circles while hugging the knees, supported reclining figure-4 stretches, and little rocking movements that feel more like self-hugs than “exercise.” Everything is slow, mindful, and filled with long, releasing sighs – perfect for when your body and mind feel heavy or tired. Finish with a delicious full-body stretch and a final relaxation.
Please note:
Practice with caution and listen to your body’s limits. Consult a healthcare professional if you have health concerns. Use yoga blocks, cushions, or blankets for comfort. Practice mindfully and stop if you feel pain.
