In episode 2 of our Minnesota Hiking Club series we hiked the Gitchi Gummi Trail located in Gooseberry Falls State Park. Don't worry you'll still see plenty of waterfall views when hiking this trail. Also there is a short spur trail that connects you even closer to the falls.
While this hike isn't the most scenic or epic you'll ever do, it does have some amazing panoramic views of Lake Superior and views of the Gooseberry River.

📏 Distance: 2.2 miles (3.5 km)
⬆️ Elevation Gain: ~200 feet (60 meters)
⛰️ Difficulty: Moderate
👣 Trail Surface: Dirt, rock, uneven in places
🌊 Highlights: Lake Superior overlooks, CCC stone wall (Castle Rock), sculpture from old bridge, quiet forest, wildflowers in season
