Welcome to our kitchen! Today we’re making a true Pakistani winter classic, Gajar ka Halwa with Homemade Khoya. Made with fresh grated carrots, full-cream milk, desi ghee, and homemade khoya cooked to perfection, this rich and comforting dessert is topped with toasted nuts and filled with the aroma of ghee and cardamom. The homemade khoya adds that perfect creamy touch, making this halwa extra special for the winter season.
Gajar ka Halwa Recipe:
Ingredients:
For khoya:
•Full fat milk - 2kg
For Halva:
• Carrot crushed - 2kg
• Evaporated milk - 3 can of 170 ml
-Also use full fat milk 1 kg instead of evaporated milk.
• Ghee - 1/2 to 3/4 cup
• Sugar - 1 & 1/2 cup to taste
• Blanched almond - as required
• Raisins - as required
• Green cardamom powder - 1tsp
• Kewra water - 2tbsp
