Saturday, October 4th, 2025 brought us the Helena G downbound on the St. Mary's River. They were loaded with Wheat that took on Thunder Bay Ontario. Their next destination was overseas to Belgium. It takes about 20 days for them to get there. This class of foreign ships is probably my favorite. There is just something about them that makes them very sharp looking. October 4th, we saw some amazing but unusual weather across Michigan. Temperatures reaching around 80 is almost unheard of in Northern Michigan.
