I filmed this in 2024 and own all the rights to it, including but not limited to all audio and visual material, as I personally recorded it to showcase the wide variety of aircraft and airlines that operate at Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan.

Kansai International Airport (KIX), located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) southwest of central Osaka, is one of Japan’s premier international gateways. As the primary airport serving the Kansai region—which includes the major cities of Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe—KIX plays a crucial role in connecting Japan with destinations across Asia, Europe, and North America.

The airport features two runways and well-designed terminals that efficiently handle a mix of domestic, regional, and long-haul flights. It serves as a hub for carriers such as All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan Airlines (JAL), Peach Aviation, and Jetstar Japan. KIX also welcomes a wide range of international airlines, including Korean Air, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Lufthansa, and AirAsia. In the years before the pandemic, Kansai International handled tens of millions of passengers annually, establishing itself as a vital player in the Asia-Pacific aviation network.

I created this video to give aviation enthusiasts and curious viewers a chance to experience what makes KIX such an exciting airport to watch. Not everyone has the opportunity to travel or enjoy plane spotting in person, so my goal was to bring that experience to them—whether it’s the fascination with aircraft, the variety of international airlines, or the mesmerizing rhythm of takeoffs and landings. This video offers a window into the dynamic aviation activity at Kansai International Airport, all from the comfort of home.
