Part 2 - Bridge Foot!
This is the second in a series of short local history videos, about the Latchford area of Warrington, which is located on the south bank of the River Mersey, within the town of Warrington.
This video looks at the fascinating history of road bridges, across the River Mersey at Bridge Foot - from the 13th Century CE, then takes a quick look at Marshall Gardens and the Warrington Cenotaph.
Special thanks to Warrington Library & Museum - Culture Warrington, for their continued help and support with information and images used. Thanks also to Harry Wells, for his superb knowledge of local history and his amazing books! Thanks to Gordon Gandy, as well as the Latchford History Group for their excellent booklets and information. I am also very grateful to friends on Facebook - Warrington Memories, for their invaluable information and images used. Credit also to those who’s original images have been used, but couldn’t find their source. Thanks also to my wife - Liz Morris, for her great camera work! Finally thanks to Ian Rigby, for his continued help support and companionship in the making of these little videos, which is very much appreciated. Thanks to you all!
There are lots more videos on my YouTube channel - DJJohnny at JDMFM, or my Facebook page - of the same name. Please feel free to subscribe (for free) and you will receive notification when new videos come out!
