AT Section 19 - NOBO / Day 2 - Kale Gap to Hot Springs

On the 2nd day of my 19th Appalachian Trail section, new hike buddy Shelton Drafts aka "NOJO" and I had night hiked from Max Patch to Kale Gap (8.5 miles) through a heavy thunderstorm and past Walnut Mountain (the location of my heart attack last Memorial Day). we pitched our hammocks near midnight at a stealth campsite at Kale Gap. The next morning, we broke camp and headed for Hot Springs.
My friend Scott Low has generously allowed his music to be used in my videos. He resides in Clayton Georgia. This past August, Scott won the single artist category of The Atlanta Blues Society's 2025 Blues Challenge. Scott tours the Southeast and is also Top 10 on the Georgia Blues Album Chart for his current album "Grateful Blues."
