John Brunsdon & I started the dive with my HD camcorder in its expensive housing and video lights but it flooded at 3m so we aborted and went back in 30 minutes later with my compact camera set on video .
The Pinnacle is littered with memorials to divers who have drowned in the lake or met their end elsewhere. The deepest plaque was at 46m where it was 'black as a bag'.
