Our second day of main line 'Big Steam' action commenced on the outskirts of Kimberley as we chased 25NC No. 3437 on the return leg of its outing from Bloemfontein to Kimberley and return. Once again, not everything went to plan.
To complicate matters, I made some basic errors with my videography making the limited photographic opportunities even less productive. However, one must soldier on, and the footage is shared to ensure that the full story of the tour is told. Perhaps the results aren't as bad as I make out. It must be put into context! It took years of effort and sizeable sums of money to make this unlikely event possible. Plus, eighty dedicated railfans and crew willing to participate to 'get the show on the road'.
