This Marbled Chocolate Sourdough is seriously ADDICTIVE! After many test bakes, I've perfected this beautiful marbled loaf with rich chocolate swirls and chocolate chips, creating an irresistible texture and flavour. Plus, I'm sharing my homemade chocolate brown butter spread that takes this bread to the next level!
The contrast between the tangy sourdough and sweet chocolate creates a perfect balance, with hidden bursts of orange-soaked cranberries for a surprising flavour twist. Once you try this combination, regular sourdough will never be the same!

Recipe
Water 210ml(initial) + 20 ml (reserved for later)
Use room temperature water on warm days. If it’s cold, use lukewarm water instead.
Caster Sugar 20g
Active starter 60g
Bread flour 300g
Salt 6g
Water 20ml
Chocolate paste
Mix 10g of cocoa powder with 15ml of hot water, then let it cool and set
Filling
Chocolate chips 30g
40g dried cranberries
(soaked in 40ml orange juice overnight, drained)
Baking time
Bake 250°C for 20 mins with steam
Remove the steam and bake 230°C for another 15-20 mins
For Dutch oven
250°C with lid bake for 20 mins
230°C without the lid bake for 15-20mins
