Into the Breach - Eldritch Mechs by Metalocif (Normal) - Part 3 (Far Line Charters)

I've played this squad before, but I liked it a lot (though I admit I didn't make much use of the insanity mechanic last time), and apparently a weapon has been edited -- which is as good an excuse as any to play it again! I'm using Vextra, mission packs from kartoFlane, Machin and tosx, as well as tosx's Watchtower Security and Far Line Charters in place of Pinnacle and Detritus, and Lemonymous's Meridia (complete with its own array of plant Vek) in place of RST; I'm also using tosx's Cauldron Pilots (maybe I'll see some of them this time around!), and Metalocif's Evolving Vek and Omega Vek modifiers (which don't make the game that much harder according to Meta).

Metalocif told me it was fine to update mid-run in this case, so I did. In addition to the tentacle movement thing I noticed before (previously it seemed like each tentacle was only getting one movement per battle), the Doomed status effect (which I hadn't activated until this island) works properly now. (I wasn't sure at first if the Doomed damage took effect before or after enemy attacks, which is why I used the lighthouse on the Thunderbug at 16:52 -- I now know this was unnecessary.) A few Omega Vek also make their debut here. I was expecting this island to be a bit tougher, but Watchtower definitely had the scariest Vek setup in this run by far, so we'll see how that goes next time.
