Welcome to a new 4K walking tour in Puerto de la Cruz, starting from the authentic neighbourhood of Punta Brava and ending in the lively heart of the city. This route blends local life, ocean energy, volcanic scenery and the vibrant atmosphere that makes the north of Tenerife so unique.

We begin our walk near Brunelli’s, one of the most renowned restaurants in the area, famous for its exceptional meat and stunning panoramic window overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. From here, the promenade unfolds along dramatic volcanic cliffs, with waves crashing onto the rocks — a powerful view that defines the northern coast.

Continuing along the paseo, we reach the small historical coastal fort with its traditional cannon pointing towards the sea — a small but symbolic piece of Tenerife’s past.

Then we arrive at Playa Jardín, the iconic black-sand beach designed by the famous artist César Manrique. It’s wide, beautiful, framed by gardens and palm trees. Recently the water has been less suitable for swimming, but the atmosphere remains incredible. And today we’re lucky: sunshine and clear skies, something precious in the summer months when Puerto de la Cruz can often sit under clouds.

As we move toward the centre, the energy changes: more cafés, more voices, more movement. We finally reach Plaza del Charco, the social heart of the city, full of life, colours and local charm. Just a few steps away, the beachfront area comes alive with restaurants, music, and the sound of waves — the perfect place to end this walk.
