Ahoy, cruisers! 🚢 It’s Day 3 of our epic 15-day Marella Cruises adventure, and today, we’ve docked in the vibrant island of Grenada, also known as the "Spice Isle." 🌟 Join me, Stick Man Steve, and Gemma as we explore the highlights of this Caribbean gem on Marella’s Creole Vintage Experience excursion – a perfect blend of history, culture, and relaxation! 🏝️✨

Our Grenada Adventure 🌿🍹
We kicked off the day boarding a traditional Creole bus 🚐 at the port, which became our mobile guide to the treasures of Grenada. Our enthusiastic tour guide didn’t just share facts – he brought Grenada’s history to life with passion and a cheeky sense of humour! 😂

🔰 Stop 1: Fort Frederick
Perched high above St George's, this 18th-century fortress boasts panoramic views of the harbour, lush hills, and the sparkling sea. 🌅 We explored the grounds, soaking in the history of this French-built, British-finished fort. While we didn’t venture to the upper level, the sights were incredible!

🔰 Stop 2: Quarantine Point Recreation Park
Next, we took in breathtaking views of Prickly Bay Marina before heading to this peaceful park overlooking the ocean. 🌊 The serene atmosphere was a perfect contrast to the lively streets of St George’s.

🔰 Stop 3: Grand Anse Beach
This iconic stretch of soft white sand and turquoise waters is paradise personified. 🏖️ We chilled at the vibrant 61 West Beach Bar, enjoying ice-cold beers 🍺 and the sounds of a steel drum band. Of course, we couldn’t resist a dip in the warm Caribbean Sea – absolute bliss! 💙

On our way back, we cruised past the historic Sendall Tunnel, Fort George, and the picturesque marinas of The Carenage, getting one last dose of Grenada’s charm. 🌟

Back on Board Marella Voyager 🛳️
After a full day of exploring, we treated ourselves to a tour of the Spa & Beauty Salon on Deck 11. The thermal spa is a must-try – it’s spacious and oh-so-relaxing! While we missed having a jacuzzi, the experience was still worth it, and we booked the thermal spa package for the rest of the cruise. 🧖‍♂️🧖‍♀️

For dinner, we dined at the exquisite Surf & Turf Steakhouse on Deck 7. 🍽️🥩 From succulent steaks to perfectly cooked seafood, every bite was a treat. This speciality restaurant, with its smart dress code, is well worth the £34 extra charge. 🌟 Pro tip: Pre-book this to secure your spot!
