Ok, it's time to get that body moving - gently of course! These exercises, guided by our resident Physiotherapist Petra, are perfect and safe in those first few weeks postpartum. This half hour session is all about encouraging mobility in the joints and reactivating your muscles, especially around the core/pelvis. It is often a confusing time when it comes to returning to exercise - many wait for their 6 week medical check before getting moving.
Remember just living and breathing and looking after that little babe requires a fair amount of physical challenge so it's important to safe guard your body and prepare it for what's to come. These exercises are a great place to start. At 6 weeks we encourage you to see a Women's Health Physio for a thorough assessment and individual guidance as to a safe return to more strenuous exercise.
