Reduce limping when walking with this simple exercise

Getting comfortable putting full weight through each leg is so important to help reduce limping when walking
In this exercise, stepping over an object like this puts full weight on the stationary leg for a brief period of time.
The same thing happens during walking ☝🏽
Most of the time limping occurs because your body doesn’t trust putting full weight through your leg and wants to get off of it as quickly as possible ☝🏽
This could be because of strength imbalances, lack of range of motion, pain, etc
But the goal is to start rebuilding that confidence ✨
For this specific exercise- use support at first if you find yourself leaning as you shift your weight over to the stationary leg 🦵🏽
The woman in this video does have bone on bone knee arthritis and her hard work has been paying off! Don’t sell yourself short!
The higher the object or the longer the object you use will make this exercise harder ✅
You can start with just a simple line on the sidewalk or on the floor at first when you’re trying 👍🏽
Aim for 10 reps each side and first and increase repetitions as you’re able to complete without significant increases in pain ✅
Complete 2-3 sets each day as long as it feels good.
Remember, consistency is key!
