I head down to the New Forest and Bucklers Hard Boatyard where I spend three days preparing my recently purchased boat 'Stowaway' for relaunching. Two years in the yard and there were a few jobs that needed doing. Stowaway is a Mk3 Nicholson 1964.
Alongside stocking the boat with food for the trip I carry out rudder blister repairs, anti fouling, sand the failing topside paint, repair a bilge pump and install a Hebridean self steering wind vane.
