In Kurdish lore, hope is the fire lit by Kawa the Blacksmith, a single act of defiance that ended an eternal winter and gave birth to Newroz. It is the resilience of a fortress, the wisdom in a grandmother's eyes, and the stubborn wildflower that splits the rock to find the sun.

The very word "Hevî" in Kurdish is tied to ancient roots of desire, expectation, and striving. It is not just "to wish," but "to will" something into existence. For the Kurdish nation, this has been the defining principle of survival. When faced with assimilation, betrayal, and loss, hope becomes the last, most essential territory to defend.
