Understanding The Last Supper, with Joel D. Weinberg

The Last Supper, What was it? Where was it? What actually happened and what did it look like (nothing like Da Vinci’s painting)?

We will visit the last super, understanding the Jewish context of the Last Supper as Jesus would have perceived it. Understand the traditions, messages and customs of the Passover dinner (or the preparatory dinner as John describes it) . We will try to understand when it exactly took place and why this is important in understanding the last days of Jesus’ life. We will visit the locations attributed to the actual location of the Last Supper and understand the reason for the location of the Last Supper and which location is most probable. We will also try to understand what the Last supper physically looked like and experience what might have taken place at the Last Supper.

Joel D. Weinberg is a Rabbinical Jew who is dedicated to teaching the New Testament to Jews and Judaism to Christians. He is well trained in Biblical interpretations, Theology, and Middle Eastern affairs (MA from Hebrew University - Jerusalem). He was a guest lecturer on the topic of Judaism at Lund University (Sweden), Harvard University (USA), University of Oxford (UK) and many other renowned universities around the world.
