Back on the Road: Shipshewana or Bust, Amish Haircut & Uncle Wally Meetup!

After months of moving from Indianapolis to Decatur, AL, Belinda and I finally took Frankie back on the road for a much-needed break! 🚐💨 We headed north to one of our favorite spots — Shipshewana, Indiana. Along the way, we stopped overnight at Charleston State Park, and then onward to Shipshewana RV Park where Arrow and Freya had a blast stretching their legs.

Shipshewana never disappoints — from great food, friendly people, and fun interactions, to catching up with Nick, the General Manager of Coachmen. He is always thrilled to see Arrow and Freya! 🐾

Of course, I couldn’t resist joking with Belinda about getting myself an Amish haircut 💈😂 …and then we ran into Uncle Wally (that’s a whole story by itself!).

This trip reminded us why we love RV life so much — the people we meet, the laughs we share, and the memories made with our pups. ❤️

✅ What's It All About:
We are Belinda and Gary, a married couple since 1996 who share a love for RV camping in our 2023 Coachmen Nova, lovingly named Frankie. Accompanying us on our adventures are Freya, our spirited German Shepherd, and Arrow, our energetic Belgian Malinois. Together, we’re excited to share our journeys, filled with joy, discovery, and heartfelt connections.

Our adventures take us to parks, neighborhoods, festivals, camping spots, and pet-friendly businesses. Along the way, we focus on socializing Freya and Arrow in various scenarios, demonstrating training commands, and testing pet products to provide honest reviews. It’s all about creating memorable experiences with our furry companions while inspiring others to do the same.

A unique aspect of our journey is our mission to spread kindness. We carry “Brown Envelopes of Blessings” to share with people we meet. These envelopes contain a small gift card (valued at $5-$10 for places like Chick-fil-A, Subway, or Starbucks) and an insert with a word of encouragement and a link to uplifting messages. We also invite you to join us in a fun twist on geocaching. Occasionally, we’ll place a small wooden cross at locations we visit and share the compass coordinates in our videos.
