Jason Wright is a Professor of Astronomy and Astrophysics at Penn State who studies nearby stars and their planets, in addition to the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). In this video he explains the latest findings from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope and what he calls “the second tantalizing hint of a potential sign of life on the planet K2-18b.” He talks about what biosignatures like this are, how and why researchers look for them and how important it is that they continue to do so.
