Beaujolais Morgon-côte du Puy (gamay variety) tasting and double carafing

Taste tasting a 2022 vintage Morgon-côte du Puy vieilles vignes (gamay grape variety) from Beaujolais, France

In this video I double carafe a "young" red wine from the Beaujolais region and compare the non-carafed pour with the double-carafed pour. Young wines benefit from some aeration to quickly reveal their aromatic bouquet, and flavor profile. This aeration can come from letting the wine "breath" in the bottle immediately after uncorking; in the glass with some gentle swirling to awaken the aromas; or from carafe-ING some of the wine, or the whole bottle.
