knife Sharpening with Sandpaper

How to: you can use sand paper for sharpening your blunt kitchen knives, blades etc. This is something a lot of people have to hand and it is an affordable method for sharpening your a knives.

Just use two different types of sandpaper, a coarser grit of around 220 to 600 for giving the blade / knife the correct shape.

Then just move onto a finer piece of say, 1.000 grit to add sharpness.

1000 grit is the standard medium grit best for regular sharpening.

The higher the grit, the finer the polish on the knife's edge.

If you want even a higher polish, work through 1500 and 2000 grit or higher. It's really up to you.

Just slide the edge of the knife across the sandpaper and, of course, repeat on the other side of the blade / knife.

IMHO sandpaper is the best way to get my knives razor sharp.

That's about it. It's really that dumb easy and simple.
