The Trapeze, also known as the Cadillac, was designed by Joseph Pilates.
The Trapeze consists of a table with a frame around it with several spring attachment points to provide varying angles of resistance. There are a tremendous amount of exercises found just alone within the Pilates Trapeze repertoire due to its versatility.
The Trapeze is very useful for teaching the Pilates Movement Principles, clients who are preparing and or recovering from an injury, and for practicing athletic, full body exercises for the experienced mover.
For safety, please understand that the Trapeze has what is called “The Circle of Danger” and that only a certified Pilates Instructor should be present to properly spot a client in many of the exercises we practice on the Trapeze.
