This PRI technique is my go-to exercise to release tight pectoral muscles and improve rib cage mobility.
If you spend your day slouching at work, your breathing becomes shallow, your rib cage gets stiff, and your chest muscles tighten up. When that happens, the diaphragm can’t function properly—it sits lower, pushing down on your organs and even affecting your pelvic floor.
That’s why poor posture isn’t just about a rounded back. It can lead to hip pain, low back pain, or stiffness.
To fix this, we need to look at the body as a whole. This exercise also engages the hamstrings and hip adductors to position the pelvis better, allowing the diaphragm to work more efficiently. The result? Looser pecs, better rib cage mobility, and healthier movement overall.
